About Pastor Ray

Greetings!  I am an ELCA Lutheran retired pastor/chaplain and I have been ordained for over 40 years. In addition to being a senior minister, I have had a number of years of experience as a hospital chaplain in the Twin Cities. I have volunteered at St. John's Hospital working in the cancer units with patients and families. My experiences include hospice, Compassionate Friends, working with terminal children, paramedic/police chaplaincies, and working as a therapist. I had one year of training at Hazelden and have worked many years with the twelve-step program.

I served in the US Navy and have been married to my wife, who is a registered nurse, for over 55 years.  We have three children and three grandchildren. As an artist/art supervisor, I worked for John Deere for 14 years. My hobbies include fishing, camping, antiquing, hunting, traveling, cooking, flea markets, photography, and garage sales. My life goal is a deeper spiritual relationship with my loving God and growing together with my directees.  I am currently a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Roseville.
